Privacy Policy
Effective July 14, 2026
LoveLed helps parents and guardians plan and manage homeschooling. Because our service involves information about children, we've tried to make this policy plain and specific: what we collect, why, who can see it, and the controls you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at any time.

1. Who this policy is for
LoveLed accounts are for adults. You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add. Children do not create accounts, log in, or interact with LoveLed directly. A parent enters and manages all information on their behalf.
This means the personal information about your child that LoveLed holds is information you chose to provide as their parent or guardian, in order to build and manage their homeschool plan.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide about your household
- Account details: your name and email address, and either a password (which we store only as a secure hash) or a sign-in identifier if you use Sign in with Google or Apple.
- Family details: your family name and an optional photo you upload (photos are stored in your browser, not on our servers).
- Subscription status: your plan and billing state. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number (see section 5).
Information you provide about your child
- Profile: first name, age, and optional grade level.
- Learning preferences: homeschooling philosophy, learning style, interests, optional hobbies, subjects, and language.
- Learning needs: selections from a fixed list of supports, plus an optional free-text note (see how we handle that note in section 4).
- Progress: milestone reflections you complete and how each lesson went (done, struggled, skipped) as you log it.
Information collected automatically
- Strictly-necessary cookies: secure cookies that keep you signed in, protect against cross-site request forgery during sign-in, and remember calendar-connection sessions. These are required for the service to function and are never gated behind a choice.
- Analytics cookies (only with your consent, and only on our public pages): if you accept the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics on our marketing site (the landing page, sign-up, and waitlist) to understand how visitors find LoveLed and where they drop off before signing up. This never runs once you're signed in or on any page that shows your family's or child's information. IP addresses are anonymized and ad-personalization signals are disabled; we do not use advertising cookies or build advertising profiles. You can change this choice at any time from Settings → Legal & privacy → Cookie preferences.
- Calendar connection details: only if you choose to connect a calendar: a read-only Google authorization token, or the Apple ID and app-specific password you enter for iCloud calendar access. These are used only to fetch your events and can be disconnected at any time.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Generate, schedule, and adjust your child's personalized homeschool plan and materials.
- Show your family's progress, milestones, and reports.
- Display outside commitments alongside lessons, if you connect a calendar.
- Provide, secure, and support your account, and process your subscription.
We do not sell your or your child's personal information, and we do not use it for behavioral advertising or share it with advertising networks.
4. How we use AI (and how we protect your child's name)
LoveLed uses an AI provider (Anthropic) to help generate plans, suggestions, and reports. We designed this feature to minimize the personal information that ever leaves our systems:
Your child's name is replaced with a neutral placeholder (such as "your child" or "Child A") before anything is sent to the AI provider, and substituted back in only in the response you see. The AI provider does not receive your child's real name.
- The optional free-text "other needs" note is distilled into our fixed list of supports; the raw note itself is not sent to the AI provider.
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete. It is provided for your review and is not professional, legal, or educational advice; always verify against official sources before relying on it.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers ("sub-processors") that help us run LoveLed, and only as needed to provide the service. Each is bound to protect the data they process:
- Vercel: application hosting.
- Neon: database hosting (where your account and plan data are stored).
- Stripe: payment processing. You enter card details directly with Stripe; we receive only your subscription status and limited card metadata (e.g. brand and last four digits).
- Anthropic: AI generation, subject to the name-pseudonymization described in section 4.
- Google and Apple: only if you connect their calendar or use their sign-in, and only at your direction.
- Google Analytics: only on our public marketing pages, and only if you accept analytics cookies (see section 2). It never runs on any page in the signed-in product. Google processes aggregate, anonymized usage data on our behalf; it never receives names, emails, or any information about a child.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or the service. LoveLed is operated from the United States, and information is processed there.
6. Children's privacy
Protecting children's information is central to LoveLed. Because a parent or guardian provides and controls all information about their child, and children do not use the service directly:
- We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts or collect personal information directly from children.
- We collect only what's needed to build and manage a child's homeschool plan, and we don't use a child's information for advertising or to build marketing profiles.
- As a parent, you can review, edit, export, or permanently delete your child's information at any time from Settings.
Our dedicated Children's Privacy Notice explains this in more detail. If you believe a child provided us information without a parent's involvement, contact us at contact@loveledlearn.com and we will delete it.
7. Data retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You are in control of deletion:
- Remove a child: deletes that child's profile, lessons, and progress.
- Delete your account: permanently removes your family, every child, and all lessons and progress, and immediately cancels your subscription. This cannot be undone.
Deletion takes effect immediately and cascades across related records.
8. Your rights and controls
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. LoveLed gives you these controls directly:
- Access & portability: download a copy of your family's data from Settings → Legal & privacy.
- Correction: edit account, family, and child details in the app at any time.
- Deletion: remove a child or delete your whole account from Settings.
- Cookie choice: turn analytics cookies on or off at any time from Settings → Legal & privacy → Cookie preferences.
To exercise any right, or if you have questions, email contact@loveledlearn.com. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9. How we protect your data
- Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored only as secure hashes; session tokens are stored only as hashes, so a database record alone can't be replayed as a live session.
- Access to production systems is limited to what's needed to operate the service.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as LoveLed evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "Effective" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of LoveLed after an update means you accept the revised policy.
